Halloween is actually can be traced back to Celtic culture in Ireland. According to heir ‘Druid” religion 1st November is their New Year on their calendar.Threfore, the celebration gets started on the following day that is 31st October night. They have a firm belief that this is the time in the liturgical year which is dedicated to all dead remembering them is the traditional focus of all Hallows. Therefore they think that all the spirits that have died in the prior year would rise up and roam on the earth this night. It is believed that this is the night when all the spirits roamed the street and villages. The Lord of Darkness named Lord Samhain would take all the spirits away with him in the underworld.
Therefore, every one follows and enjoys his night with the event known as ‘All Hallow Eve’. It is celebrated with costumes, trick or treat, superstitions which have been taken from this druid’s holiday. It was originated from the pagan holiday honoring the dead. This day allows the soul of the dead to come back to earth and walk among the living. That’s why people leave candies and foods out of their home so that the evil spirit does not harm them. They also carve out turnips and rutabagas and place embers to ward off the evil spirits.

However, it’s been reported that many religions are against the concept of Halloween, while this is true that Today’s Halloween celebrations are all about fun with a generous amount of celebrations.
More in to this mystery is the addition of the Halloween trick and treating that is started by the Irish, in which Irish townsfolk would visit to neighbors and ask for contributions of foods for a feast in the town. This case is an opposite as what is it thought to be as where the boy who collects foods is seem to be volunteering but yet trick or treating is all about receiving.
